Zero Waste Mending Kit, Sewing Kit, Patchwork
Be a part of the Zero Waste and slow fashion movement by mending your clothes and homewares using this sweet little mending kit that I made and put together.
A big part of my Zero Waste Goals for the textile studio is to use as much of my fabrics and supplies as possible. My goal is to have nothing go to waste. After all, these fabrics and supplies are expensive.
I made this sewing kit after talking to my daughter about what you would need to in a sewing kit that works for a busy working mom or dad. She said someone to do the mending for you. LOL. Then we figured it out.
This mending kit book is made using linen canvas and linen scraps from my studio. It ties up with a faux velvet ribbon.
Each kit includes
10-12 pieces of linen, linen canvas, canvas and cotton fabric scraps cut to various sizes for average mending projects
6 clover clips
4 safety pins
3 mending needles
6 long clover pins
6 heavy canvas pins
1 handmade pin and needle keeper padded heart
2 100m Spools of Sew All Thread
1 metal thread snips
1 seam ripper
1 seam gauge
1 measuring tape
These Mending Kits make a wonderful gift for a tween, teen or student.
