Trivet: Quilted Cotton Hot Pad
I love making happy homewares.
With my Zero Waste textile studio goals in mind, these hot pads were born out of my need to use some smaller pieces that I had after making teapot cozies.
I made myself a little round mug pad and thought. Oooh I can make these because people will love them. They’re so pretty yet practical.
Each Hot Pad is made using two layer of organic cotton batting, a layer of organic hemp flannel, and two layers of 100% premium cotton fabrics sewn together and then quilted for stability.
Care: Hand wash is always best using cool soapy water and roll to wring out Hang to Dry! Hot Iron to reshape if needed.
Each hot pad is meant to be used as a trivet or pad to keep your tea pot or coffee pot from getting cold sitting on the counter, especially if you have stone counters like mine. They can sit under your tea pot cosy or on their own as a place to set your hot pot down!
These are not meant for use taking hot dishes out of the oven, but can be used to remove hot dishes from the microwave.
These are not made with fire retardant fabrics! Keep away from open flame or flame heat sources!
This is for the Hot Pad Only! The Tea Cosy shown is to show the set in use All of my tea cozies can be purchased in this shop
