Cropped Jacket Organic Barkcloth Pattern Sample

I’m so excited to make clothing again. Most of the clothing I make is custom tailored for each of my clients. But once in a while I make clothing to test a pattern that I’ll be making in the future. 
This week I made a one of a kind version of a cropped 3/4 sleeve spring/summer/fall jacket in this amazing and fun organic barkcloth fabric. 
Fabric: This new organic barkcloth is nothing like barkcloth of yesteryear. It’s super soft to the touch and wears well as fashion fabric. I love the bold animal print and bright colours on a soft taupe field. 
Size: I made this jacket as a one-size oversized cropped jacket and it fits from a size 6 to a size 14 comfortably. The sleeve length is 17 inches and the jacket length is 23 inches with a 49 inch front and back hip. 

Details: Even though this is a pattern tester jacket each seam is finished with an enclosed French seam. I make everything with the same care and attention to details, even my samples. 
Because this is a sample there is one seam that does not meet up at the shoulder. While it’s not a noticeable seam, I’ve added a picture for the details. 

Care: I love fusing classics styles with new patterns and eco friendly fabrics. My goal is to make clothing that you can enjoy for years to come, with proper care. This jacket should be spot cleaned as needed with a warm soapy cloth to remove stains. Gentle washing by hand is best and hang to dry will keep your colours vibrant longer. Do not scrub barkcloth. Can be washed in a front load washer with cold water and like colour clothing and hung to dry if needed.
