Big Quilted Patchwork Sling Bag, Dumpling Bag, Cross Body
I’m at it again! I was in the studio this morning finding awesome ways to use my smaller fabric pieces to make something beautiful.
I made this Dumpling Style Sling Bag today and given the response, I just had to list it here in my shop.
This two zipper pocket cross-body style bag is made entirely using linen canvas fabric scrap pieces that are remnants fabric left over from making my other Stoney Lake Textiles products. As a textile studio with Zero Waste Goals, I don’t throw pieces of fabric away, Instead I try to find ways to use even the smallest pieces of fabrics, like in this patchwork quilted bag. The fabric pieces are quilted onto organic cotton quilt batting pieces that are leftover from my tea cozy making. You’ve gotta love a product that utilizes so many different studio scraps!
This bag is a bit different from my standard cross-body bags in that it’s a slouchy bag and doesn’t have interfacing like my structured bags do.
I love making quilted fabric from scraps. Each bag is made to be unique and no two bags will have the same fabric pieces or placement.
This Dumpling style sling bag is made using, Linen Canvas, Cotton Canvas, Organic Cotton Quilt Batting and YKK zippers.
Each bag features an adjustable removable cotton strap.
Each bag is sewn with finished seams inside and made with care to last.
Size: This Dumpling Style bag features a 22 inch zipper opening along the top and a 12 inch zipper opening at the pocket.
Care: Spot clean only with a cloth and warm soapy water. Hang to Dry only!
